Ad Revenue Sharing
Qassia is not a knowledge base, but we rely on the same user contribution principle, since our
bread and butter is the accumulation and amalgamation of
intel. And
sites that rely on user contributions are expected to compensate their contributors. While our
primary way of rewarding content is backlinks and exposure for users' websites, we
also share advertising revenues with our users.
So how much do you get? Some knowledge bases split net
advertising income 40/60 in their favor, after deducting operating expenses such as server costs. Others,
trying to capitalize on user resentment against those first mentioned, split gross revenue 50/50, before deducting expenses.
But at Qassia, you get no less than 100 percent of gross advertising revenue. That means you
get ALL of it. Sound great?
Or sound fishy? Don't worry - at Qassia we don't even get involved in the filthy business of
touching money in the first place. The ad revenue goes straight from the advertising company to you.
How does this work?
It's very simple. On each of the pages showing intel you have contributed, there are five advertising spaces which belong to you.
On your profile page, there are four.
You can use a nifty web app called uniQlicks to run any ads you want in those
slots. The ads can be from any ad network or affiliate network, as long as they
are not pornographic in nature.
When your ads generate revenue, either when someone clicks on them (in the case of PPC ad networks such as
AdSense,
AdBrite,
FairAdsNetwork)
or when someone buys the product advertised (in the case of affiliate networks such as
LinkShare or
ClickBank),
the ad network pays you the revenue directly.
Our system is reliable because we do not get involved in the collection of advertising revenue from your pages in the first place.
The ad revenue goes straight into the account you have with the advertising network.

Add lots of intel intel, so you have somewhere to run your ads. Create an account at uniQlicks, and make five 'slots' for Qassia in the sizes specified above. Then paste the code for those slots in the Ad Revenue Sharing form in your Dashboard.
Lastly, you need to specify which ads will run alongside your intel. Choose ad units from your AdSense, AdBrite, FairAdsNetwork, LinkShare, ClickBank accounts and add them to your uniQlicks account. That's it! Your ads will start showing on Qassia.

How much can I expect to make?
| | It depends on the number of intel y... |
It depends on the number of intel you have, the overall quality, and the type of ads you run. In most cases, probably not enough to earn a living - you would need thousands of intel for that. Most people won't make more than a few bucks a month. Others might make hundreds or even thousands. If your intel gets slashdotted or dugg, and gets a zillion page views, then you might make a substantial amount of money in a short period of time. In any case, you'll definitely make more at Qassia than you would if you contributed the same content to another site, because at Qassia you get 100%.
